A generous pile of basil from the garden of a kind neighbor.
A sunflower amongst the weeds in our untouched summer garden.
Some surprise squash right out of our compost pile!
And mommy's tummy!
How excited we all are as we prepare to welcome a new baby this coming winter. I recognize this as a great joy, responsibility and blessing, and I am humbled.
It is hard to believe I am almost half way there, I can barely remember those dark days in June where my head was spent under a pillow for most the day then pop out at 10:30 pm only to make crazy requests of Paul like a grilled cheese, tomato, avocado sandwich or hot miso soup and gyozas take out. The kind man provided and never complained as I neglected household duties in the face of constant Netflix streaming.
The boys are hoping it'll be a brother and of course the girls are already convinced it is a baby sister. But we're not going to find out this time, we'll wait for the surprise.
And now you all know why I made chicken liver pate', I was just craving it.

A pregnancy craving surely explains chicken liver pate!
ReplyDeleteI guess...;)
Congratulations - I hope all is well.
Congratulations! When are you due? I am due in January... and craving mustard. Weird. I don't think I could even indulge in a craving like chicken liver pate...
ReplyDeleteSuch exciting news and you are already half way there! That was fast :).
ReplyDeleteThis was a cute post! And congrats to you! In the words of Sister Julie B. Beck from this year's women's conference, "It's always wonderful when you can find a woman who wants eight children and can have them. That combination doesn't happen very often."
ReplyDeleteI can't say I have ever craved chicken liver pate but then again I have never eaten it so I wouldn't know to crave it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to announce your pregnancy. Congrats AL. When are you due?
Congratulations...another baby!!! If anyone can handle that it is you. Here's to an easy pregnancy!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Alison. I think what you're doing is amazing.
ReplyDeleteso happy for you. We need to come down to your farm soon.... we miss you!
ReplyDeleteAl, I'm so happy for you and baby-envious. I am longing for a third, but alas, my husband says he is too old. I leave it to the man upstairs. I figure if he wants us to have more it will happen, regardless of our wishes! I keep up on you through my mother. Maybe when we visit this fall we will finally be able to say hello! Great post and best wishes. You are super mom in my eyes!
ReplyDeleteCaryn
