A Very Merry Christmas

There's nothing more merry than playing all day with the ones you love.  Captured above the kids are amused by a ceiling light show put on by Paul and his new hand powered flashlight, my dear mom is always good for a really practical gift.

My new favorite tradition is the non-traditional feast of Pilar's tamales, cortido, casamiento, tortilla chips, fried plantains, avocados, pomegranates, and Izze soda.  Not only delicious but allowed me to play instead of slave in the kitchen.

I surprised Paul with an old Battleship game, it was a $1 thrift store find.   I barely won and Paul is still requesting a re-match.

Paul surprised me with a new laptop!  Now we can facebook each other face to face, but playing Battleship would probably be more merry.

  1. Hi my name is Kathya.
I am a stay at home mom who lives in Grand Rapids, MI.
i have 2 baby girls so far with third baby on the way.
i really would love to keep in touch with you through emails or something like.
i want to know how you do it with so many kids at home.
i have so many questions to ask.
i am from Bolivia and i have no family here in MI except in NYC (a niece and half sister) who are usually never able to come to visit because like all New York people must know, you go there to work, not really to have a huge family and travel.
anyways, my point is that i am half way through the amount of babies i want in my life (maybe)so i need some advice on pretty much EVERYTHING.
You seems to handle life just well with yours and i want love to hear how you make it through the day. Now that children are a burden or anything like it, BUT being dedicated to them is a big commitment and something that many cant admire because they have never experienced it before.
i just found out 14 months ago that ONE child is so easy. 2 make it a little challenging but i have no idea about 3. i am a bit scared.
Please, could you write me so we can exchange emails?i couldn't find a better way to contact you than just to leave a message.
    Blessings!

  2. Al - your kids are so cute! I miss them. Also, Paul looks hilarious in his tye-dye and hat!

Kathya, my sister, Alison is a Supermom, Superwife, supersister, and super sewer/cook/housekeeper. We are all amazed with her!
