After weeks of waiting we are finally settling in at our new farm.
The garden had weeds up to my shoulder so Paul got on the tracker and mowed them down. I'm anxious to plant what I can this late in the season but I'm also tempted to take some wallpaper down and paint, maybe I should first focus on setting up the kitchen.
Yikes, I'm both giddy and overwhelmed with the amount of projects ahead of us. Having moved several times before I recognize this move as very different from the rest, this is a shift in lifestyle.
Let the adventure begin, and may I not be too exhausted to keep a good record of it.

Allison, I've been watching your blog for a while. I'm Cathy Tripp's younger sister.
ReplyDeleteI just want to say that my husband is salivating over your new home purchase. He was raised on an apple farm and has wonderful memories of that life. I hope it will be great for your family!
Hey Emily!
ReplyDeleteI sure wish we had more experience with farming. We only have a handful of apples trees but would like to plant a few more. Now I know who to contact with apple help! Next time you are in MI - come on out, we are out int he country just west of Ann Arbor and would love to catch up.
please post more pictures of your new place. I'm dying to see it.
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! You are going to have such fun and you kids will have so many new adventures.
ReplyDeleteI have always thought a farm sounded very...romantic. :)
ReplyDeleteI am sure you will have many experiences where you'll be saying, "Yeah, ...romantic, my eye!" but I am excited to read about your journey all the same!!
