Toddler book sewing

Here are some spring toddler looks for Henry.  I love the way the Japanese patterns actually fit people unlike the big four (butterick, simplicity, McCalls, Vogue) which seem to be designed for creatures much larger than humans.   Japanese pattern books (well at least for the children) have yet to fail me.  You can pick them up on ebay, esty, or superbuzzy.

The fabric used here is all from old clothes picked up from garage sales. That is the great the thing about sewing for babies - it doesn't take much fabric.

  1. They all look great, Al! I keep telling myself I wish I had more time to sew or knit or whatever. But then I thought I'd have to put down my book. Decisions, decisions!

  2. Cute clothes Al! Your industrial Snap machine really comes in use! I think Henry has a very "Green Chic" look this summer. You bring new life to clothes that would end up at DI or garbage. ha!

  3. Cute. I like the look of the biker shorts. I see you used the hem of the clothing on the t-shirt. It is a nice touch on the sleeves.
