Poor Henry remained restrained throughout the entire drive. He has yet to master the car seat escape and was unable to join the others in free roam of the van. He screamed a lot, and it was loud. The toys got thrown, the snacks got dropped but we found one thing that kept him happy - it was the atlas. We flipped through the States and he was surprisingly entertained. The older boys in the back are usually the ones requesting the over sized book but now we've got another fascinated by maps. The girls on the other hand would have it ripped and scribbled on in no time. I think I'll keep the atlas in the car even on short trips because Henry screams a lot then also.

the map sure is entertaining for the boys . :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I miss your little guy. I should try the map, but I am afraid that ours is the rip it up type.
ReplyDeletei love looking at maps, too. Paul thinks I am such a nerd because I love to watch the little blue dot on a googlemap my new phone. I watch it move on the map as it tracks our location.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Henry will take after James and learn all of the states and their capitals before age four.
