Garage Sale Report

Tis' the season to dig through people's junk. That is exactly what my Mom and I did for a few hours this morning. We started out in the Avenues, which was fun because that is where she grew up, and then made our way down through Sugar House and across to Country Club.

Here's what I was looking for:
-Ride on toy for Clara
-Bundt cake pan
-Cake stand
-ice cream maker
-Good books
-Size 8-10 church pants
-Dresser for the girls' room
-Vintage fabric

Here's what I found:
-My Little Ponies $.25
-Beanie Babies $.50
-Popper toy $1.00
-Vintage glass juicer $1.00
-Ride on toy car for Clara $6.00 (this was my favorite purchase of the morning)
-Size 3 April Cornell dress $10.00 (more than I typically spend but its in excellent condition and will be so cute for fall)

I also got a call from Becca around 8:45 am - not pictured are the size small fuzzi bunz that she found for me at a yard sale in Highland - $2 each. It is great to be connected to the sister's garage sale network!

  1. Al--you found some great things. I love the little ride on car for Clara!! Isn't great when you find what you are looking for. I like the pictures of your children using the items.

  2. I am usually amazed at how well people's kids keep their toys. My toys are thrashed by the end of our use and typically aren't even in good enough shape for me to take to Goodwill. Great finds Al!

  3. Does Peter like stuffed animals? Kai loves them more than Asha. The tree is very pretty with the red leaves.

  4. Al- you are hooked. I'm glad that pink plastic toys are entering your home. The girls will love the pony's. They are great for bath time. The hair on ours gets washed several times a week. Then when they start to smell like mildew chuck them!

  5. Marie'- The kids love stuffies! They have so many so maybe I should not have brought these two home. But Peter has been swaddling them like babies and in the morning he'll report to me whether they slept well or not. He named the Sloth beanie "Monday Tuesday Fredenberg" the Walrus is "Sam"
