Thought you all should know that I dyed my hair today - just for fun and for some other practical reasons. When we move I'll be leaving behind not just friends and family but the best hairdresser ever. So in the spirit of this move to MI and simplifying my life I am officially eliminating any sort of color processing from my hair routine. After years of highlighting my hair I had no idea how dark my 'natural' color really was. I don't feel like myself - I look like one of my sisters! But that is a good thing. It will take some getting use to but it will be nice to be free from the commitment to highlights.

I did the same thing when I moved from ut. It was a hard transition for me- but it saves us a lot of money each month!
ReplyDeleteAl--it looks great, just so different. You are so pretty that no matter what you do to your hair (cut/color) you look wonderful. You remind me of Mary with that cut and color. I think I never do anything drastic at the hair dresser because of that one bad haircut in high school.
ReplyDeleteAl, it looks great! I thought the photo was of Emily with a new short haircut! I can't wait to see you in person!
ReplyDeleteAbby just said "Is that Al? How did she get her hair so dark?"
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great. I have not yet ever dyed my hair, and it make life very easy.
Looks fantabulous! I just wrote on my list of things to do tomorrow to make an appointment with my hairdresser for the same thing. To get rid of the highlights and get my natural color back.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great!
ReplyDeleteIt looks awesome! I would love to do the same...but no courage!
ReplyDeleteHow brave. Looks great! I tried that once, not quite as dark, but I couldn't pull it off. I went back to faking it.
ReplyDeleteI love the hair color! It looks great on you! Where in MI do you plan on staying?? Any idea?
ReplyDeleteIt looks soo good! Like you've always had it like that :)
ReplyDeleteAl, you have joined the DARK SIDE!! ha! I think it looks great! I'll have the blond bob - Yin, and you will have the dark bob - Yang. Or is it the other way around?
ReplyDeletecan we have some of that black dye? we're supposed to inconsipcuous in mexico that would help. who's moving first you or us?
ReplyDeleteI went to my natural color and noticed some grey! Now, should I go back to dying? Can we pose as twins when you move back?
