Hand Bells

One of our favorite Christmas activities is playing these hand bells.   Yesterday the boys worked hard on copying the notes on to a large free standing note pad - this made it easier for all to follow along.

Here they are performing "Away in a manger" for me as I finished up the morning dishes.   Maryanna enjoyed the front row seat and when I asked what she was doing she said "I just recording my dream".

It's been a snowy slow moving morning and the sound of bells accompanied by the funny things a 3 year says have made it all the more enjoyable.

  2. We have hand bells too. We (Matt & I) have a love/ hate relationship with them. They are fun, but very, very loud.

  3. I love the free standing note pad--we have our notes on a smaller poster board--yours is a lot easier to read.

  4. The chart is very nice. Do you put the bells away when they are finished? I have always loved hand bells, but I am not sure if I can stand the sound when the kids go crazy with them.

The boys keep the rules..... they can use the bells anytime because they are careful with them and follow the songs. We are still training the girls but keep them out of their reach.

As for them going crazy with them.....just be careful the springs aren't damaged because then the note will be off.

Your family is so musical I really think they would have fun with them
